Truly Yummy Spicy Black Beans

Quick, healthy gluten free and dairy free spicy black beans that make a delicious budget friendly side dish or easy meat free main.
A Versatile Black Bean Recipe
Whether you’re looking for a hearty side dish or a simple meat free main, my Truly Yummy Spicy Black Beans are a wonderfully versatile recipe. Completely gluten free and dairy free, they’re quick to make, budget friendly and packed with flavour, making them perfect for busy weeknight meals.
Perfect With BBQ’s, Rice and More
These little black jewels are simmered in a rich, spicy tomato sauce, making them delicious served with rice, grilled meats, fish or BBQ favourites. You can even swap your usual tin of baked beans for these to add a little spice to your morning fry up. One of my favourite ways to enjoy them is to serve them alongside my Truly Yummy Zesty Slaw, slow roast pork, sliced avocado and my Truly Yummy Pickled Red Onions. A colourful feast that’s perfect for feeding family and friends.
A Great Meat Free Meal
They’re equally delicious served as the star of the meal with fluffy rice or a jacket potato. An excellent choice for Meat Free Mondays or when cooking for vegetarian guests.
Best Served Fresh
For the very best flavour and texture, I recommend serving them straight away. They’re at their absolute best when freshly cooked.
